I heard song thrush, yellowhammer, robin, blackbird, wood pigeon, pheasant, whitethroat, goldcrest, great tit, long-tailed tit, (distant) cuckoo and garden warbler - you may hear more. A nightjar flew a lazy circle around the chalkpits at around 4.45am.
